Corrections

When we get something wrong, we fix it and record it here. To report an error, contact us with the page URL and the correct information (a source helps). Factual corrections are actioned promptly; the underlying database record is fixed so the error can't regenerate.

We log corrections whether we caught the error ourselves or someone else did, including the platforms we write about. What we don't do is change a score or a ranking because a company asked us to — see how we review.

Correction log

What was wrong: The post said โ€œNo exchange we track lists LEO Token, so an Australian buyer has no direct AUD route to itโ€, and repeated it in the takeaways as โ€œNone of the platforms we review carry it at allโ€.

What it says now: OKX lists LEO. The post now says so, and says that it trades there without an AUD pair, so the conclusion an Australian reader should draw โ€” no direct dollar route โ€” is unchanged. The headline claim, that none of the Australian-owned exchanges we verify lists it, was and remains correct.

Found by us the morning after publication, while extending listing verification from three exchanges to eleven. Our catalogue for OKX was a placeholder when the post was written, so the post reported an absence of data as an absence of listings. The angle now refuses to run unless at least four Australian catalogues are verified, and names the platforms it checked.

Exchange scores 24 September 2026

What was wrong: Five of our fifteen exchange scores did not reconcile to the weighting we publish on this site (fees 30%, safety 25%, ease of use 20%, coin range 15%, support 10%). BTC Markets sat 0.38 above what the formula produces, Crypto.com 0.33 below, Binance 0.22 below, Coinstash 0.16 below and CoinJar 0.14 above.

What it says now: Every score is now computed from the published weights, so anyone can check our arithmetic. BTC Markets moved from 7.8 to 7.4, Crypto.com from 7.7 to 8.0, Binance from 7.4 to 7.6, Coinstash from 7.5 to 7.7 and CoinJar from 8.1 to 8.0. The underlying sub-scores were not changed.

Found during an internal check prompted by a question from Digital Surge about how ranking works.

Digital Surge review 24 September 2026

What was wrong: We listed Digital Surge as supporting 300+ cryptocurrencies.

What it says now: Corrected to 400+. Digital Surgeโ€™s own coin directory lists 414 individual assets and states 420, so our figure was stale. The coin-range sub-score moved from 8.0 to 8.4 as a result, which lifted the overall score from 7.7 to 7.8.

Reported by Digital Surge, then verified against their published coin list.
