Where is my portfolio stored?
Only in your browser, on your device (localStorage). Nothing you enter is sent to us or anyone else — we have no accounts, no server-side storage, and no way to see your holdings. The trade-off: it won't sync between devices, and clearing your browser data clears it. Use Export to keep a backup file.
Are the prices live?
Prices refresh from the same pipeline that powers the whole site — every 10 minutes in production, quoted AUD-first from CoinGecko market data. Values are indicative: your exchange's sell price will differ by its spread and fees.
What does the CGT badge mean?
If you enter a purchase date, we flag parcels held longer than 12 months — Australian resident individuals are generally eligible to discount capital gains on those by 50%. It's a record-keeping aid, not tax advice; the tax calculator estimates what a sale would actually mean.
Why don't you track my exchange automatically?
API connections to your exchange would mean holding your keys and seeing your balances — precisely the custody and privacy risks this site tells you to avoid. Manual entry is the honest price of a tracker that genuinely can't leak anything.
