FAQ
Why do instant buy and market order costs differ so much?
Instant buy is the convenient one-click option and typically carries both a higher fee and a spread (a markup built into the price you are quoted). Market orders on the exchange’s trading interface usually cost a fraction of that — on some platforms less than a quarter — in exchange for a slightly less beginner-friendly screen.
What is a spread, and why isn’t it shown for every exchange?
The spread is the gap between the price you are quoted and the mid-market price. Most exchanges do not publish it, and it moves with market conditions — so we only show a spread estimate where we have verified one. Where the spread column is blank, your true instant-buy cost is likely somewhat higher than the fee alone.
Are these all the costs?
These are the trading costs. AUD deposits are free at nearly every listed exchange via PayID or bank transfer (card deposits cost more), and AUD withdrawals are free almost everywhere — exceptions are noted. Network fees apply when you withdraw crypto to your own wallet.
