Crypto influencers, grouped by what they actually do

Most "top crypto accounts" lists rank people by follower count and stop there. Follower count tells you how many people are listening, not whether listening is a good idea. This directory groups accounts by what they produce, says what each type is genuinely useful for and where it reliably misleads, and gives you a tool to check any specific call against what the market actually did next.

Being listed here is not an endorsement

It is not a recommendation to follow anyone, and certainly not a recommendation to act on anything they say. Nobody here is your financial adviser. In Australia, giving personal financial advice without a licence is illegal, and ASIC has taken action against finfluencers who crossed that line — a large following is not a licence and not a qualification.

The habit that beats any list

When someone makes a specific call, write it down with the date. Six months later, check it. Almost nobody does this, which is precisely why confident people keep their audiences after being wrong — the misses are never counted, only the hits are screenshotted.

Check any past call against what happened →

Protocol founders and builders

People who wrote, or run, the networks themselves.

Good for

Closest to the source on how a protocol actually works and what is being shipped. When they describe their own system, they are the primary source.

Where it misleads

Nobody is neutral about the thing they built. Treat their view of competing chains as a competitor talking about a rival, because that is what it is.

Company and industry leaders

Founders and executives of exchanges, funds and listed companies.

Good for

They see order flow, institutional demand and regulation before it is public, and they talk about the industry as a business rather than a chart.

Where it misleads

Their company has a position and often a balance sheet riding on it. Read every statement as coming from someone whose employer profits if you agree.

Educators and explainers

People whose main output is teaching how something works.

Good for

The best starting point if you are new. Explanations of custody, self-custody, gas, staking and security age far better than any price opinion.

Where it misleads

Audience size rewards confidence, and teaching credibility transfers unearned to their market opinions. Someone can explain a wallet perfectly and still be no better than chance on price.

Market analysts and chart readers

Technical analysis, cycle models and market structure.

Good for

They name their levels in advance, which at least makes them checkable — something you cannot do with a vague opinion.

Where it misleads

This is where the record matters most and is quoted least. A call is only evidence if you can see the ones that failed too. The tool below exists for exactly this.

On-chain investigators and data

Accounts that read the blockchain directly — wallet flows, thefts, frauds.

Good for

The most falsifiable material in crypto: their claims come with transaction hashes you can check yourself, independently of whether you trust them.

Where it misleads

A large wallet moving coins is a fact; the motive attached to it is a guess. Follow the hash, not the narrative built on top of it.

Good for

Identity, follower count, account age and verification status read from X's API and refreshed quarterly · last checked 22 Aug 2026. Follower counts move constantly — treat them as a scale, not a precise figure. A bio in quotation marks is the account's own description of itself, not ours.

Who is deliberately not here

Anonymous signal and "gem" accounts

Other directories pad their lists with these. We exclude them by rule, not by opinion: if nobody real stands behind an account, its track record cannot be checked — and an unaccountable track record is the entire business model of a pump-and-dump.

Accounts that move crypto but are not about crypto

A handful of very large accounts move crypto prices without being crypto accounts. Listing them here to catch searches would be traffic bait, so we do not.

Net worth, homes and families

We publish none of it, for anyone on this page. The net worth figures circulating for these people are almost always guesses, and the rest is not ours to publish.

Where to go next

The evaluation method matters more than any list, and the official-account directory is the one that protects you from impersonators.

Questions

FAQ

Is this a list of people you recommend following?

No. It is a directory of accounts with real audiences in crypto, grouped by what they actually do. Being listed here is not an endorsement, a recommendation to follow, or any kind of view on whether their opinions are worth acting on. We deliberately publish the tools to check someone rather than a verdict on them.

How did you choose who appears?

Four rules. The account has to be attributable — a named person, a persistent identity with a public track record, or an established publication. It has to be primarily about crypto. It has to have real reach, which we show as the actual number rather than a claim. And every handle has to be verified against X before it appears. Anonymous "signals" and "100x gems" accounts are excluded by rule, because a track record you cannot attribute is a track record you cannot check.

Why are the follower counts different from other lists?

Because ours are real and dated. Most published lists hand-type the numbers once and never revisit them. We read each account through X's API and stamp the date it was checked, then refresh quarterly.

Can following these accounts count as financial advice?

No, and it is worth being clear about it. Nobody on this page is your financial adviser, and in Australia giving personal financial advice without a licence is illegal. ASIC has taken action against unlicensed finfluencers. Social media commentary is entertainment and information — the decision, and the loss, is yours alone.

Someone here is missing or the details are wrong.

Tell us and we will fix it. Identity fields come from X directly, so an out-of-date name or bio means the account changed since our last check and will correct itself on the next refresh.
